It’s a collection of portraits of 20th-century masters of photography. This is a special publication consisting of black and white photos.
I was the lead designer for this project. To make the photo stand out, it was made with minimal elements. However, it was arranged in consideration of the eyes of the person in the photo so as not to look boring, and it was made with dynamic size and layouts. In addition, using typography, a geometric layout was created to add a modern feel.
'Eating New York' is a guidebook that introduces New York's representative food and the history of that food. In addition, the book contains information about famous restaurants and recipes for their favorite foods. This book was created for food lovers.
I was the lead designer for this project. I used NYC's Map to show you where to find food in which area. I made a grid system using the shape of a New York street to give it fun.
‘Sea Cloud Cruises’ operates luxurious and refined cruises on its two traditionally rigged sailing ships, Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II. Catering to well-heeled, sophisticated customers, Sea Cloud travels to smaller, less touristy ports in Europe and the Caribbean. The project was to create a brochure for use at a ship fair and I was the lead designer for this project.
Korean musicians Moonsae Lee and YB BAND asked us to create brochures, posters, and tickets for events when they performed concerts in the United States.
I was a lead designer for the projects, and speaking Korean and American, I understood clearly what they wanted and worked on the design.

Every year, ADC hosts one of the premier paper and printing events in New York City. The ADC Paper Expo is an opportunity for practicing professionals to meet with leading paper manufacturers and printers. This event is best to collect the latest paper samples and connect with new resources.
This project was creating the invitation sent to members who are paper buyers and professional printing designers. As a lead designer for the project, I was in charge of invitation design and photo shoots.
Dreams of a Picture Bride was the performance for celebrating the 100th-anniversary of Korean Immigration to the United States. It was the play that is an Asian cultural history program presented by the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. Dreams of a Picture Bride was based on the fascinating true story of Korean picture brides who emigrated to Honolulu from 1912 to 1924. It uses dance, text, slides, and music collage to tell the story of the Korean mail-order brides who bravely moved to Hawaii to marry Korean men who worked in the sugar cane fields.
I was honored to create the poster for this event.
